Is your class studying the Tudors this term? If so, we can bring the past to life for your students in a riot of colour and sound! Featuring an array of authentic 16th-century instruments (including copies of instruments found on the Mary Rose), The Tooting Tudors Roadshow uses music, song and dance to transport your class 500 years back in time.
The show can last from 60-90 minutes, depending on the age of the students and the size of the audience, and is entirely self-contained. All you need to provide is a space for us to perform in – we’ll do the rest! The show is primarily aimed at KS2, but can also be adapted for a whole school performance.
Instruments we play include shawm, bagpipes, hurdy-gurdy, vihuela, virginals and rauschpfeife. As well as being introduced to the instruments, the children will learn an original Tudor song and also participate in some Tudor dancing. There’s also plenty of time for questions at the end of the show!
The usual price for The Tooting Tudors Roadshow is £300 + expenses per engagement.
